Andrea Rebecchi (Senior Researcher (RTdB) MED/42 at DABC-POLIMI)
Architect and PhD in Architecture, Built environment and Construction engineering (ABC) at the Polytechnic of Milan (2017); title of the Doctoral thesis: HEALTHY URBAN MOVES. Assessment tool for cities’ Walkability to improve Active Transport and Physical Activity in Urban Areas. In 2013 he obtained the II level Master’s degree in Planning, programming and design of hospital and social-healthcare systems; title of the Master’s thesis: Knowing how to find. Signage and orientation in Architecture for Health. Since October 2018, Junior Researcher (RTDA) at the ABC Department of the Polytechnic of Milan and teacher in Technologies for Construction and Environmental Hygiene for the Building Technology Studio (ENG) and Architectural Construction Laboratory (ITA) courses of the School of Architecture Urban Planning Construction Engineering (AUIC). He participates in the activities of the National Center for Hospital Construction and Technology (CNETO); of the Lombard Academy of Public Health (ALSP); of the Building Hygiene Working Group of the Italian Society of Hygiene and Preventive Medicine (SItI); of the Design&Health Lab. of the DABC, Polytechnic of Milan. Member of the Urban Public Health Section Steering Committee, European Public Health Association (EUPHA). Speaker at numerous national and international seminars; author of scientific and popular publications on the topics of Urban Health, Building and Environmental Hygiene and Hospital Design (Scopus 33 papers; H-index 14 and 419 citations; updated February 2021).
